Irish Lass

Well my Irish Lass got a little distressed LOL Her face started sticking to a piece of paper I laid down when the glue was still wet ... oops ... she made it through mostly in tact though.

And yeah ... it's spring ... no snow! It's been in the 60s and 70s for almost 3 weeks ... yippeee!

Waaaahhh! Shoulda Told Me!

Ugggghhh!! No one told me March 9 was Panic Day. The idea is that you take one day to have a major panic day ... and you're set all year. I missed my chance ... now I have to panic all year LOL Well ... at last I'm off to good start ... hee hee

Urban Nightscape

This is my contribution for the Urban topic on Artwords. This theme was a bit of a stretch for me ... and yet I've been a city girl for the last 25 years. I was born and raised in a small town ... and hated every minute of it! I found I had no identity in a small town ... but in the city ... well maybe I'm more interesting because I'm eccentric LOL

Michaelangelo's Birthday

This month was Michaelangelo's birthday, so I dedicated an art journal page to the master! To create a faux fresco look I spread spackle on muslin, added color and image, and gently cracked before sealing and gluing into the journal.

Doodle Journal Pages

These are a couple journal pages I did at the Traci Bautista classes the last weekend in February. I did the backgrounds on both pages. The doodling on the left was done by Traci Bautista and the doodling on the right page was done by me and Tracey Kazimir-Cree from my local art group who was also in class.

Life Update

My life seems to have not slowed down at all LOL I thought this would get easier after the light rail opening at work ... but that does not appear to be the case.

On the upside, I may finally get a job title change and upgrade ... aka promotion. I've been working toward this for several years. I got a promotion 7 years ago, but this one will be special to me, as I have basically created my own job and I may finally get to reap the rewards.

And what a change. It seems that people know I am possibly moving up the ladder and into management ... I'm not the bottom of the food chain anymore! People hold up meetings for me ... can you believe it?

With my special work project getting ready to go back into full swing I will finally have to succumb and cut back on art swaps ... sigh ... so I am in wrap up mode right now.
